Here we see large  "stand up - broken" pieces of Pennsylvania blue
stone.

Many weighed upwards of two hundred pounds
They were pieced together
to form a nice mossaic pattern. A grand entrance
indeed.

Local limestone anywhere from 2 to 5 inches thick.

It has a many different colors in it and                 blends in nicely with the surroundings.

                Here is a mortared flagstone patio and wall which yields a somewhat more formal appearance. It is edged with stone cobbles.
